The New-York Artistic Research Network (NYARN) aims to interconnect individuals, groups, organizations and institutions interested in not only establishing an artistic research network in New York on par with the international community but also specifically exploring how there is no place like New York for emancipating artistic research from systemic practices of monocultural exclusion. How can the attribute New York signify at once the local application of a more and more universal way of framing artistic-cultural labor (that seeks to be one-size-fits-all for fear of being examined) as well as a one-of-a-kind style of inquiry of the extent to which that is even possible? And furthermore how can a New-York effect on artistic research be, then, delocalized?
